A social media user claims that a former Ravens player was involved in an affair with his wife, who is reportedly a member of the team’s marching band.

Former NFL player Steve Smith Sr. became embroiled in social media controversy on Saturday when a man accused the ex-wide receiver of having an affair with his wife, who the accuser claims is part of the Baltimore Ravens marching band. The individual took to X, posting a series of messages early Saturday morning, including a direct reply to one of Smith’s posts.

“Hit me up. Does your wife know you’ve been f—ing my wife?” the user, who later changed his profile picture to one of Smith, wrote. The man then shared several screenshots that allegedly contained sexually explicit text messages exchanged between his wife and Smith, along with images purportedly sent by Smith to the woman.

In a subsequent video, the man appeared to confront someone over the phone, addressing Smith directly. “Yo Steve,” he said, to which the other person replied, “What’s up?” The man then asked, “You’ve been f—ing my wife, bro? What you gotta say for yourself?” The response from the other end was simply, “I’m sorry.”

The accuser expressed disbelief, stating, “You’re sorry? You f—ing knew she was married. You’re not a f—ing idiot, man. You’re f—ing Steve Smith Sr. What kind of dumb s— was that?” The call ended abruptly after that exchange.

The man claimed in another post that his wife is a member of the Ravens’ marching band. As of now, neither the Ravens, the band, nor Smith’s agency have issued any statements regarding the allegations.

Smith, who performed with the band during a game early in the 2024 season, played three seasons with the Ravens after a lengthy career with the Carolina Panthers. He has been married since 2000 and has four children with his wife.
