**Major Anti-Naxal Operation in Jharkhand: Key Leaders Eliminated**

In a significant anti-Naxal operation, a joint team comprising the CRPF’s Cobra Battalion and Jharkhand police successfully neutralized prominent Naxal leaders in Hazaribagh, Jharkhand. This operation, which took place early Monday morning, resulted in the death of Sahdev Soren, a notorious Naxal commander with a ₹1 crore bounty on his head, along with two other high-ranking operatives.

Home Minister Amit Shah announced the operation’s success on social media, declaring that Naxalism has been completely eradicated from the Bokaro region of Jharkhand. He expressed confidence that the entire nation would soon be free from the Naxal threat. “Today, in Hazaribagh, a joint team has achieved a major success in an anti-Naxal operation. The notorious commander Sahdev Soren has been eliminated, along with two other bounty Naxals, Raghunath Hembram alias Chanchal and Birsen Ganjhu alias Ramkhelawan,” Shah stated.

The operation was initiated based on specific intelligence inputs, leading to a gunfight that erupted around 6 AM in Karandi village, located near the Giridih-Bokaro border. The police identified Sahdev Soren as a Central Committee member of the Communist Party of India (Maoist) and one of the most wanted figures in eastern India. The other two rebels killed were Raghunath Hembram, a member of the Bihar-Jharkhand Special Area Committee with a ₹25 lakh bounty, and Birsen Ganjhu, a zonal committee member with a ₹10 lakh reward.

Security forces recovered all three bodies from the encounter site, marking a significant victory in the ongoing battle against Naxalism in the region. This operation underscores the government’s commitment to combating Naxal activities and restoring peace in affected areas.

As the government continues its efforts, the successful elimination of these key Naxal leaders is expected to have a lasting impact on the region’s security landscape.
