Blue Star’s profit for the third quarter increased by 32% to ₹132.5 crore, with revenue also rising by 25%.

**Blue Star Ltd Reports 31.85% Increase in Q3 Consolidated Net Profit**

New Delhi, Jan 29 (PTI) – Blue Star Ltd, a manufacturer of air-conditioning and commercial refrigeration systems, announced a consolidated net profit of ₹96.06 crore for the third quarter ending December 2024, reflecting a 31.85% increase. In the same quarter last year, the company reported a net profit of ₹100.46 crore, as per a regulatory filing.

The company’s revenue from operations surged by 25.26% to ₹2,807.36 crore in the December quarter, compared to ₹2,241.19 crore in the previous year. An earnings statement highlighted that the room air conditioning (AC) business experienced significant growth, driven by strong demand during the festive season, making it a standout performer among consumer durables.

Other key sectors also demonstrated substantial growth, supported by demand across various industries. The increase in revenue and profit is attributed to Blue Star’s ongoing investments in expanding distribution channels, innovation, research and development, digital transformation, and strategic supply chain management.

Total expenses for Blue Star rose by 24.97% to ₹2,648.89 crore in the December quarter. Revenue from the electro-mechanical projects and commercial air-conditioning systems segment reached ₹1,562.41 crore, marking a 32% year-on-year increase. The unitary products segment, which includes the room AC business, saw a 21.9% rise in revenue to ₹1,164.36 crore. Conversely, revenue from the professional electronics and industrial systems segment declined by 22.1% to ₹80.6 crore.

Total income, which encompasses other income, amounted to ₹2,816.09 crore, reflecting a 24.94% year-on-year increase. On the stock market, Blue Star Ltd’s shares closed at ₹1,827.30 on BSE, up 3.68% from the previous trading session.
