Christopher Bell secured his second consecutive victory by fending off Daytona 500 champion William Byron at the Circuit of the Americas.

Christopher Bell secured his second consecutive NASCAR victory, clinching the checkered flag at Circuit of the Americas on Sunday. Prior to this win, Bell triumphed at the Ambetter Health 400 in Atlanta last week, and now he has added the EchoPark Automotive Grand Prix to his accolades on the road course.

Kyle Busch led for a significant portion of the race’s second half but lost ground in the final laps due to issues with his right rear tire. The last three laps turned into a thrilling contest among Bell, William Byron, and Tyler Reddick, the three most recent winners of this event. Byron, the Daytona 500 champion, made every effort to overtake Bell, who, after passing Busch, had to fend off the relentless challenges from Byron in his Hendrick Motorsports Chevrolet and Reddick from 23XI Racing.

In his pursuit of a second consecutive EchoPark victory—having finished second in the event last year—Bell managed to maintain his lead down the straightaway. “These road course races are just so much fun,” Bell remarked. “(Busch) was doing such a good job running his race. He bobbled and allowed me to get out front. When he did, I just said don’t beat yourself.”

This marks the first instance since 2023 that a NASCAR driver has achieved back-to-back wins, a feat last accomplished by Byron during the Penzoil 400 and United Rentals Work United 500 in March.

With this victory, Bell has now reached 11 career wins since starting in 2020, and he has secured at least two wins in each of the last four seasons, including three victories last year.
