A police inspector and a constable were injured during clashes between villagers and the police in Lucknow after officials allegedly attempted to remove a statue of Babasaheb Ambedkar, which had been installed by the village head.Members of the Dalit community in Khantari village said that local officials and police claimed the statue had been installed without permission.The police allegedly used force when villagers resisted the directive to remove the statue. A clash ensued, during which one police inspector and two constables were injured in the chaos.The situation was eventually brought under control after police reinforcements were rushed to the spot to contain the violence.
