During a parade, Saquon Barkley noticed an Eagles ball boy in the crowd. He decided to lift him over the barriers so he could take part in the festivities.

Philadelphia, known as the City of Brotherly Love, celebrated its second Super Bowl victory parade on Friday. A large crowd of Philadelphia Eagles fans lined Broad Street, the city’s iconic thoroughfare, to join in the festivities. Eagles players, coaches, and executives rode atop floats, waving to their enthusiastic supporters. Some players, including Saquon Barkley, engaged in closer interactions with fans along the parade route.

During the event, Barkley spotted the team’s ball boy and greeted him warmly. He then helped the ball boy over a barricade with a bear hug, allowing him to join the celebration. Barkley also created a heartwarming moment when he noticed a sign that read, “Today is my 3rd birthday. Go Birds!” He paused to take pictures with the young fan, leaving her father in disbelief. “I couldn’t believe it was happening,” he remarked.

Barkley had an impressive first season with the Eagles after a six-year stint with the New York Giants, where he faced limited postseason success. He signed with Philadelphia in the offseason and achieved a career-high 2,005 rushing yards during the regular season, adding 499 yards in the playoffs as the Eagles made their Super Bowl run. Although he was mostly contained during the Eagles’ 40-22 victory over the Kansas City Chiefs in the Super Bowl, finishing with 57 rushing yards, Barkley also celebrated his birthday on Super Bowl Sunday and reportedly proposed to his girlfriend, Anna Congdon, before the game.
