Google co-founder Sergey Brin has indicated that the tech giant has the potential to lead the artificial general intelligence sector if its employees increase their efforts, suggesting a commitment of 60 hours per week. His remarks, made on Wednesday, come as Google aims to reaffirm its status as a frontrunner in AI following the launch of ChatGPT in 2022. According to a report, Brin encouraged employees to work from the office at least on weekdays, stating, “I recommend being in the office at least every weekday.” He emphasized that “60 hours a week is the sweet spot of productivity” in a memo directed to the team behind Gemini, Google’s suite of AI models and applications.
