**Laurence Fox Denies Charges Related to ULEZ Camera Vandalism**

Laurence Fox, the actor and political activist, has denied allegations of inciting others to damage ultra low emission zone (ULEZ) cameras in London. He appeared at Westminster Magistrates’ Court on Friday, facing accusations of posting messages on social media that could encourage criminal activity.

Between September 12 and October 4, 2023, Fox allegedly expressed support for individuals known as ULEZ “Blade Runners,” who have been involved in the repeated destruction of these cameras. Prosecutors reported that Transport for London (TfL) documented 700 incidents of camera damage during this timeframe, resulting in costs exceeding £920,000.

The ULEZ cameras are essential for monitoring vehicles entering and exiting the expanded ULEZ area, which now encompasses all of London following its expansion at the end of August 2023. Vehicles that do not comply with ultra low emission standards are required to pay a daily fee of £12.50 to drive within the zone, or they risk incurring fines.

Videos circulating online depict the “Blade Runners” using tools such as angle grinders to sever the cameras’ wires or remove them entirely. Fox, aged 46, has pleaded not guilty to the charge of intentionally encouraging or assisting in the commission of an either-way offence, which could carry a sentence of up to 10 years in prison if he is found guilty.

Following the court appearance, the former GB News presenter was granted unconditional bail and is scheduled to appear at Croydon Crown Court on June 13.
