Microphones capture the heartfelt interaction between Saquon Barkley and his fiancée following the Eagles’ Super Bowl win: ‘I’m so proud’.

Saquon Barkley had an unforgettable inaugural season with the Philadelphia Eagles. After a six-year stint with the New York Giants that yielded limited playoff success, Barkley joined the Eagles in the offseason. He achieved a career-high 2,005 rushing yards during the regular season and added 499 yards in the postseason, contributing significantly to the Eagles’ journey to the Super Bowl championship.

Following Philadelphia’s victory, which secured the franchise’s second Vince Lombardi Trophy, Barkley celebrated on the turf of the Caesars Superdome with his fiancée, Anna Congdon, and their family. The emotional moment was captured on microphones, with Congdon expressing her pride, saying, “You did it. You did it, baby,” while holding their son. Barkley responded with, “I love you,” to which she added, “I’m so proud of you.”

Although Barkley was largely contained during the Super Bowl, finishing with 57 rushing yards, the Eagles’ defense excelled, leading to a 40-22 win. Throughout the regular season, Barkley, a three-time Pro Bowler, recorded 13 rushing touchdowns and two receiving touchdowns in 16 games.

Additionally, it was reported that Barkley proposed to Congdon just days before the Super Bowl. The couple, who met while attending Penn State, are proud parents of two children.
