**Headline:** Mother of Raj Kushwaha Asserts Son’s Innocence in Indore Businessman’s Murder Case

In a shocking turn of events surrounding the murder of Indore businessman Raja Raghuvanshi, the mother of one of the accused, Raj Kushwaha, has come forward to declare her son’s innocence. Speaking to media outlets, she accused the police of fabricating evidence to cover up their investigative shortcomings, insisting that her son had no involvement in the crime.

Raja Raghuvanshi, who had traveled to Meghalaya with his wife Sonam for their honeymoon, went missing on May 23. His body was discovered in a gorge on June 2, nearly ten days later. Following the discovery, police arrested Sonam on June 9, alleging that she conspired to murder her husband and enlisted the help of Raj Kushwaha and others to carry out the act during their honeymoon.

A senior official from the Meghalaya Police suggested that Sonam was involved in an affair with Kushwaha, claiming the murder was premeditated. However, both families of the accused have vehemently denied these allegations. “My son is innocent. He worked at Sonam’s brother’s place, and they only interacted for work purposes. The police are lying to cover their failures. My son would never harm anyone; he has always been helpful,” said Kushwaha’s mother, visibly emotional.

She further revealed that her son was unwell at the time of his arrest, stating, “He had a fever, and I thought they were taking him to the hospital, not to arrest him.” Raj’s sister also defended him, asserting, “My brother cannot do something like this. He did not go anywhere. You can verify with his colleagues. I demand his release; he is innocent.”

The autopsy report indicated that Raja Raghuvanshi suffered multiple sharp injuries, including two fatal wounds to the head. In a surprising twist, even Sonam’s father has rejected the police narrative, calling for a Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) probe due to a lack of trust in the current investigation.

Raja and Sonam were married on May 11 and began their honeymoon in Meghalaya on May 20. They reached Mawlakhiat village on May 22, but their rented scooter was found abandoned two days later, prompting a search operation.

As the investigation unfolds, the families of the accused continue to seek justice and clarity in a case that has captured public attention.
