Mukesh Ambani, Chairman of Reliance Industries, along with his family, visited the Maha Kumbh Mela in Prayagraj on Tuesday, February 11. The Ambani family participated in a holy dip at the Triveni Sangam, where the Ganges, Yamuna, and Saraswati rivers converge. Accompanying Mukesh Ambani were his mother, Kokilabaen Ambani, his sons Akash and Anant Ambani, daughters-in-law Shloka and Radhika, and grandchildren Prithvi and Veda. The family donned traditional attire, with Mukesh and Anant Ambani in matching blue kurta pyjamas, while Akash Ambani sported a multicolored kurta. Shloka Mehta wore a white Anarkali suit, and Prithvi and Veda were dressed in coordinating teal outfits. Their visit coincided with the auspicious occasion of Magh Purnima, which signifies the conclusion of the month-long Magha Snan or ritual bathing.

In January, Mukesh Ambani’s younger brother, Anil Ambani, and his wife, former actress Tina Ambani, also visited Prayagraj for the Maha Kumbh festival.

The Ambani family is among several prominent leaders who have attended the Maha Kumbh Mela 2025. On February 10, President Droupadi Murmu took a holy dip at the Triveni Sangam and offered prayers afterward. Prime Minister Narendra Modi visited the ongoing Maha Kumbh Mela on February 5, participating in a holy dip at the Sangam, while authorities implemented heightened security measures in the city, particularly in the Arail area. Additionally, on January 21, Gautam Adani, Chairman of the Adani Group, attended the Maha Kumbh Mela to perform Ganga Puja and engage in Seva, visiting the ISKCON Temple camp at the event. The Adani Group and ISKCON collaborated to provide meals to devotees, with the Mahaprasad Seva running from January 13 to February 26.

The Mahakumbh Mela 2025 is taking place in Prayagraj, Uttar Pradesh, and is recognized as one of the largest religious gatherings globally, occurring once every 12 years. Key bathing rituals, known as Shahi, were held on January 14 during Makar Sankranti, with additional rituals on January 29 for Mauni Amavasya and February 3 for Basant Panchami.
