**Reliance Jio Sees Revenue Growth Amid Strong Subscriber Gains**

Reliance Jio has reported a significant increase in average revenue per user (ARPU) for the April-June quarter, driven by robust subscriber growth in both mobile and home broadband services, alongside heightened data consumption on its network. As India’s largest telecom operator by market share, Reliance Jio, a subsidiary of Jio Platforms, continues to dominate the market, particularly as telecom companies explore monetization strategies for 5G services and enhance user engagement. Jio’s growth is particularly notable as it continues to capture market share from Vodafone Idea Ltd, which is seeking further financial assistance from the government to remain viable.

On a standalone basis, Reliance Jio’s revenue from operations surged 17% year-on-year and 2.9% quarter-on-quarter to ₹30,882 crore, aligning closely with the average estimates of ₹30,900 crore from three brokerage firms. By the end of June, Jio’s 5G subscriber count reached 213 million, up from 191 million in the previous quarter. The monthly ARPU rose by 1.3% sequentially and 14.9% year-on-year to ₹208.8, attributed to recent tariff hikes. In the June quarter, Jio added 9.9 million subscribers, bringing its total subscriber base to 498.1 million, compared to 6.1 million additions in the previous quarter. The monthly user churn rate stood at 1.8%.

Jio’s earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation, and amortization (EBITDA) increased by 24% year-on-year and 6.6% sequentially to ₹18,135 crore in the June quarter, with the EBITDA margin rising by 1.7 percentage points sequentially to 51.8%. The company is also witnessing strong growth in its cloud gaming platform, Jio Games, its cloud storage service, JioAICloud, and JioPC, its virtual desktop offering. Jio is poised to expand its 5G capabilities with a cloud-native core network into international markets.

Total data traffic surged by 24% year-on-year and 11.9% sequentially to 54.7 billion GB in the June quarter, fueled by the increase in fiber broadband and AirFiber users.
