Sadhguru embarks on a motorcycle journey to Kailash Manasarovar as India and China experience improved relations.

**Sadhguru Embarks on Kailash Mansarovar Yatra After Recovery**

Isha Foundation founder Sadhguru has embarked on this year’s Kailash Mansarovar Yatra, traveling to Mount Kailash on a motorbike. This pilgrimage follows a five-year hiatus in the journey through Tibet, coinciding with a warming of relations between India and China. The 17-day expedition is particularly significant as it comes just a year after Sadhguru underwent two major brain surgeries.

During his journey, Sadhguru engaged in discussions with various personalities, including actors, artists, and athletes. The Isha Foundation highlighted these interactions as a testament to the transformative power of yoga, demonstrating that even the seemingly impossible can be achieved. Reflecting on his health recovery in a conversation with cricketer Varun Chakravarthy, Sadhguru emphasized the importance of mastering life’s fundamentals, recalling his instructions to doctors: “No jerks, no bumps, no falls.” His preparation included a Trans-Canada motorcycle ride, which bolstered his confidence for the challenging Himalayan terrain.

In a dialogue with actor and MP Kangana Ranaut, Sadhguru shared his perspective on the significance of Shiva, stating that spiritual depth comes not from concepts but from immersing oneself in the essence that Shiva embodies. He expressed, “I sit on his shoulders. He doesn’t stand; I don’t know where he stands. I sit on his shoulders, so everything feels fine. I pretend that I am doing everything, but it all gets done.”

Sadhguru also delved into the rich lore surrounding Kailash Mansarovar during a conversation with actor R. Madhavan, describing it as “the greatest mystical library on the planet and in the known universe.” He remarked, “There is no way anyone can define or describe in words what Kailash truly is. It is a place where Adiyogi himself poured everything that he is, and that is simply unbelievable. It is the greatest mystical abode on the planet.”

Highlighting the importance of regional cooperation, Sadhguru noted that geographically connected nations should unite and function as one, despite political separations. In a subsequent discussion with filmmaker Nag Ashwin, director of Kalki 2898 AD, Sadhguru challenged the notion that spiritual pursuits are only for the elderly. He asserted, “The best things you want to do in your life should happen sooner rather than later. This whole idea that spirituality should come at the end of your life is a terrible one. Spirituality is about the innermost core of who you are, and that should be realized at the earliest possible time.”

The Kailash Mansarovar Yatra through Sikkim’s Nathula Pass and Uttarakhand’s Lipulekh Pass resumed in July, marking a significant step in the ongoing efforts to improve India-China relations.
