In response to the tragic flash floods that struck Texas Hill Country, resulting in the loss of at least 32 lives, including children, the Houston Texans have committed $500,000 to aid the affected communities. The announcement was made on Saturday, emphasizing the team’s dedication to providing essential support and resources for those impacted by this devastating event.

We are especially devastated to hear about the children who are still missing, and we are praying they are reunited with their families soon.” The organization also pledged to continue supporting search, rescue, and recovery efforts in the weeks ahead.

Panic erupted on Friday night when over two dozen campers from Camp Mystic, an all-girls private Christian camp in Hunt, Texas, were reported missing. At the time of the flood, the camp had approximately 750 attendees. Among the deceased campers were Janie Hunt and Renee Smajstrla, as confirmed by family members. The Kerr County authorities reported that the flooding has claimed 32 lives, including nine children. As of Saturday morning, more than 850 individuals were evacuated without injury, while eight others sustained injuries.
