Tim Tebow and his wife, Demi-Leigh, certainly know how to keep things exciting. Earlier this year, the former college football star and NFL quarterback announced that they are expecting their first child, following their marriage in 2020. As their baby’s arrival approaches, the couple decided to reveal the child’s gender in a fun and creative way, teasing their Instagram followers in the process.
This week, they shared six black-and-white photos on Instagram showcasing their unique gender reveal, where they painted on a canvas while blindfolded. They later posted a video of their reactions, unveiling the baby’s gender to the world.
In their heartfelt announcement, they expressed, “Our greatest blessing. We’ve been praying for her long before we knew her, and we’re beyond grateful that God chose us to be her parents. We can’t wait to meet you, baby girl!”
To create a meaningful piece of art for the nursery, they chose to discover the gender through painting. They incorporated two Bible verses—one for a boy and one for a girl—into the canvas. The verse they selected for their daughter is Psalm 25:4-5: “Show me your ways, Lord, teach me your paths. Guide me in your truth and teach me, for you are God my Savior, and my hope is in you all day long.” They expressed their hope that she will always find her identity in Christ and place her trust in His love and truth.
Demi-Leigh excitedly remarked, “Now, let’s get this nursery in order! Bring on the pink bows, ruffles, and all things sweet.” Both Tim and Demi-Leigh had accurately predicted they were having a girl.
In a January interview, Demi-Leigh shared her excitement, stating, “We are just so excited and so over the moon to be having a baby together. I’m so grateful because I just couldn’t imagine a better life partner to do life with first and foremost. To be able to raise a little tiny human being together. I’m so grateful that Tim is my husband… that we get to do parenting together.”
At that time, Demi-Leigh revealed she was 16 weeks pregnant, indicating they are expecting a summer baby.
