A group of masked and armed burglars broke into the residence of retired judge Justice Ramesh Garg in Indore, Madhya Pradesh, making off with cash and valuables worth several lakh rupees, according to police reports. The incident, which occurred on Raksha Bandhan, was captured on CCTV, showcasing the meticulous execution of the crime.

The footage reveals three burglars, one of whom entered the judge’s bedroom wielding an iron rod, poised to strike if the judge awoke, while another rummaged through the room. The third burglar kept watch outside. Justice Garg and his family, reportedly in deep sleep, remained oblivious to the intrusion until the thieves had escaped.

This incident is part of a troubling trend, as similar robberies were reported in nearby areas on the same day. Police have obtained CCTV footage from multiple locations, all depicting masked and gloved individuals operating with alarming organization. Senior police officer Umakant Choudhary confirmed that specialized teams have been established to investigate these crimes.

“Given the seriousness of the crimes, we have formed multiple teams to look into the matter,” Choudhary stated. “Preliminary investigations suggest that this gang has been involved in similar incidents in the past.” Authorities are currently identifying and questioning potential suspects, expressing optimism about apprehending the culprits and resolving the case swiftly.
