Xia Brookside wins TNA Knockouts World Championship at Slammiversary over Léi Yǐng Lee

Former friends turned bitter rivals over the last few weeks as Xia Brookside’s relationship with Léi Yǐng Lee completely fractured amid their pursuit of the Total Nonstop Action Wrestling (TNA) Knockouts World Championship.When Lee finally won the title, Brookside’s envy grew even further. Multiple kicks combined with a dropkick kept her out in front of Brookside. She then hit a nasty German suplex and a thrust kick after that. As they moved outside the ring, Lee hit a diving shoulder block to Brookside.But Brookside only needed one moment to get back into the match. She pushed Lee into the ring post, tweaking Lee’s left knee. Even as she was taking damage from Brookside’s submission hold, she wanted “more.” The trash talk continued through the rest of the match. Brookside’s kicks were countered by Lee, who countered and put her opponent into a submission maneuver of her own.Lee powerbombed Brookside from the turnbuckle. Brookside ripped the turnbuckle, exposing the rope. She knocked Lee off the top rope. Lee went faced first into the exposed area. Brookside hit a Darkside and pinned Lee to win the TNA Knockouts World Championship.It is Brookside’s first championship in TNA. Lee’s second reign as champion ends after 74 days.
