**Tragic Building Collapse Claims Lives of Entire Family in Delhi**

In a devastating incident in northeast Delhi’s Mustafabad area, a building collapse early Saturday morning resulted in the loss of an entire family, leaving relatives and the community in mourning. Bhulan, the brother of 60-year-old Tehsin, expressed his grief, stating, “We lost an entire generation of our family in just a moment.” Tehsin, along with his son, three grandchildren, and two daughters-in-law, perished when the structure collapsed around 3 AM.

Bhulan recounted his last conversation with Tehsin on Friday evening, noting that everything seemed normal. “My brother and his family lived in the area for 20 years without any trouble, and then suddenly, this terrible tragedy struck,” he said. The collapse claimed the lives of eleven individuals, including Tehsin, his son Nazeem (30), Nazeem’s wife Shahina (28), their three children—Anas (6), Afreen (2), and Afan (2)—and Tehsin’s younger daughter-in-law, Chandni (23).

Among the victims were two brothers, Danish (23) and Naved (17), as well as Reshma (38) and Ishaq (75). The incident also left eleven others injured, with six individuals discharged from the hospital, including Tehsin’s son, Chand (25). However, five people, including Tehsin’s wife, Zeenat (58), remain under medical observation.

Sanjeeda, Tehsin’s sister, was inconsolable as she sat in front of the debris, lamenting, “It’s been hours, and he has still not been found. My entire family has been destroyed.” She rushed to the scene upon hearing the news, only to face the heartbreaking reality of her brother’s fate.

Tehsin, a property dealer, resided on the first floor of the building, which housed four shops on the ground level and several rented flats. Shehjad Ahmad, who lost his nephews Danish and Naved, shared the impact of their loss, stating, “My nephews were the breadwinners of the family. They ran the entire household.” Danish worked as a scrap dealer, while Naved, a student, took on odd jobs to support the family.

Reshma’s family, who lived on the fourth floor, also faced tragedy. Her brother, Sonu Abbas, recounted that she was alive when rescued from the rubble, helping her husband and children to safety before succumbing to her injuries.

Rescue operations involved teams from the National Disaster Response Force (NDRF), Delhi Fire Services, and local police, who worked tirelessly to search for survivors and recover the deceased.

As the community grapples with this profound loss, the incident serves as a stark reminder of the fragility of life and the importance of building safety.
