Ajit Pawar has noted that IT companies are leaving Maharashtra, while DK Shivakumar is actively trying to attract them to Karnataka.

**Karnataka Welcomes IT Firms Leaving Maharashtra Amid Concerns**

Karnataka Deputy Chief Minister DK Shivakumar has extended a warm invitation to IT companies considering relocation from Maharashtra, assuring them of comprehensive infrastructure support. His remarks come in response to concerns raised by Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar regarding the exodus of firms from Pune’s Hinjewadi IT Park.

During the inauguration of Quantum India Bengaluru 2025, Shivakumar emphasized Karnataka’s readiness to accommodate any IT company looking to move its operations from Maharashtra. “We welcome IT companies wanting to migrate from Maharashtra to Karnataka. We will provide them with all the infrastructure they need,” he stated.

Shivakumar’s comments followed Pawar’s acknowledgment of the challenges faced by Pune’s IT sector, including traffic congestion, waterlogging, and encroachments, which have prompted companies to seek opportunities in Bengaluru and Hyderabad. “We are ruined. The IT park is moving out of Pune and Maharashtra to Bengaluru and Hyderabad,” Pawar lamented during a recent inspection in Pimpri-Chinchwad.

In response, Shivakumar expressed gratitude for Pawar’s candid remarks, highlighting that the competition is not just among states but on a global scale. He acknowledged Maharashtra’s robust IT industry while reiterating Karnataka’s commitment to welcoming any relocating firms with open arms.

As the IT landscape continues to evolve, Karnataka positions itself as a favorable destination for companies seeking a conducive environment for growth and innovation.
