**Bryan Adams Concert Canceled in Australia Due to Sewage Risk**
A concert by Bryan Adams in Australia has been canceled due to concerns over sewage potentially backing up into the venue’s restrooms. The performance scheduled for Sunday at the RAC Arena in Perth was called off due to a “potential public health risk.” Local water authorities reported a “large blockage of fat, grease, and rags” that has led to multiple “wastewater overflows” in properties surrounding the venue.
Fans are set to receive automatic refunds for their tickets, but many expressed their frustration over the late cancellation, with several already waiting in line at the 16,000-capacity arena. Some attendees inquired whether they would also be compensated for expenses related to travel, food, and accommodation.
The Water Corporation issued an apology for the “inconvenience,” advising the public to avoid contact with any pooled water in the Wellington Street area, as it may contain sewage due to a significant sewer blockage. Crews are currently working to resolve the blockage that has caused the wastewater issues.
The concert promoter stated that the water problem “could not be resolved in time,” labeling the cancellation as “bitterly disappointing.” Frontier Touring emphasized that the situation affecting all of Wellington Street rendered it unsafe for patrons to enter the RAC Arena. Unfortunately for fans, the promoter also indicated that rescheduling the concert would not be possible.
Bryan Adams is currently on his So Happy It Hurts Tour, which includes performances in Australia and New Zealand, with support from James Arthur.
