Ben Cleveland of the Ravens was apprehended in Georgia for a DUI violation.

Baltimore Ravens offensive lineman Ben Cleveland was arrested last week in Georgia on a DUI charge after law enforcement reported that he nearly swerved into a ditch. Cleveland, who was selected by the Ravens in the third round of the 2021 NFL Draft after playing at the University of Georgia, faced charges of DUI and failure to maintain a lane on Wednesday.

According to an incident report, a deputy from the Baldwin County Sheriff’s Office observed Cleveland’s black pickup truck weaving between lanes around 10:30 p.m. before it entered the opposite lane of travel, almost going into a ditch. During the traffic stop, Cleveland reportedly admitted to the deputy that he had consumed three to four beers at a nearby country club but claimed he had not had anything to drink in the last two hours.

As reported, Cleveland underwent several field sobriety tests, including a breathalyzer, which indicated a blood alcohol content of 0.178, more than twice the legal limit of 0.08. He was released the following day on bond.

Cleveland, a first-team All-SEC selection during his time at Georgia, has participated in 54 games for the Ravens.
