Lupin is expanding its digital therapeutics division by moving beyond traditional treatments.

**Lupin Digital Health Expands Cardiac Care with Innovative Platform**

Lupin Digital Health, the digital therapeutics division of Lupin, has made significant strides in the rapidly evolving digital health landscape since its launch in FY23. The company’s Lyfe platform is designed for real-time patient monitoring and provides interventions aimed at preventing and rehabilitating cardiac diseases. In just one year, the platform has successfully doubled its patient base to 10,000 and anticipates substantial growth in the upcoming financial year.

The expansion of Lupin Digital Health is fueled by strategic partnerships with major hospitals and insurance providers, broadening its reach beyond post-surgery rehabilitation to include preventive programs for individuals at risk of cardiac issues. Sidharth Srinivasan, CEO of Lupin Digital Health, emphasized the platform’s prescription-based model, where healthcare providers recommend the service to patients, who can then choose to engage with it.

The Lyfe platform features an application that tracks patients’ vital signs, activity levels, and clinical objectives, alongside another app that connects patients with healthcare professionals. “Our goal is to provide personalized care for patients with cardio-metabolic conditions,” Srinivasan stated.

The digital health initiative is recognized as a regulatory-approved medtech product, reflecting a shift in patient care dynamics in India, which now encompasses more than just traditional medications and hospital visits. The rise of digital therapies, particularly those leveraging artificial intelligence for tailored patient care, is indicative of a broader trend in the healthcare sector. According to an EY report, the growth of medical technology is outpacing that of the pharmaceutical industry, which is projected to grow at a compound annual growth rate of 12.3% from 2020 to 2030.

As Lupin Digital Health continues to innovate, it aims to increase its patient base significantly, projecting to reach at least 50,000 patients on the Lyfe program alone by the end of the year, with an overall target of 200,000 to 300,000 patients under its digital health umbrella.
