Celebrities such as Taylor Swift, Jay-Z, Sir Paul McCartney, and Bradley Cooper turned out in large numbers for what is considered America’s premier sporting event—the Super Bowl—where the Philadelphia Eagles triumphed over the Kansas City Chiefs with a score of 40-22. The star-studded audience at the Caesars Superdome in New Orleans, Louisiana, included not only music and film icons but also Donald Trump, who made history as the first sitting U.S. president to attend a Super Bowl.
Pop sensation Taylor Swift was present to support her boyfriend, Travis Kelce, a player for the Kansas City Chiefs, who were aiming for their third consecutive Super Bowl title. When Swift appeared on the Jumbotron, some Eagles fans responded with boos. Trump later took to his Truth Social platform to comment, stating, “The only one that had a tougher night than the Kansas City Chiefs was Taylor Swift. She got BOOED out of the Stadium. MAGA is very unforgiving!” This remark came after Swift had endorsed Trump’s political rival, Kamala Harris, in the upcoming 2024 presidential election.
Before the game, Trump visited the field to meet with families of victims from a recent New Year’s Day terror attack in the city, as well as police and emergency personnel. The tragic incident resulted in the deaths of fourteen individuals and left many others injured when a former U.S. Army veteran drove a pickup truck into a crowd.
