Bengaluru, Jan 27 – A case has been filed against Infosys co-founder Senapathy Kris Gopalakrishnan, former IISc Director Balaram, and 16 others under the Prevention of SC/ST Atrocities Act. The complaint was lodged at the Sadashiva Nagar police station following instructions from the 71st city civil and sessions court. The complainant, Durgappa, a member of the tribal Bovi community and a former faculty member at the Indian Institute of Science (IISc), alleged that he was wrongfully implicated in a honey trap case in 2014, which led to his dismissal from the institute. He also claimed to have faced caste-based abuse and threats. Other individuals named in the case include Govindan Rangarajan, Sridhar Warrier, Sandya Vishwswaraih, Hari K V S, Dasappa, Balaram P, Hemalata Mhishi, Chattopadyaya K, Pradeep D Sawkar, and Manoharan. There has been no immediate response from the IISc faculty or Kris Gopalakrishnan, who is also a member of the IISc Board of Trustees.
