During his tenure as director of projects, Singh has overseen significant advancements in major initiatives, including the 800 MW Pārbati-II hydroelectric project and the 2,000 MW Subansiri Lower hydroelectric project, along with various other ongoing projects within the company and its joint ventures. He also held the additional role of director (technical) at NHPC from August 8, 2024, to April 16, 2025.
With a Bachelor of Engineering (Civil) degree and over 33 years of experience in the power and infrastructure sectors, Singh previously served as chief general manager at SJVN Ltd before his current role at NHPC.
In a related development, Sipan Kumar Garg has been appointed as the interim director of finance at NHPC, effective from Monday.
