The Bengals have responded following the indictment of Chilean men who took a selfie with stolen items from Joe Burrow’s house.

Three Chilean men charged with breaking into the home of Cincinnati Bengals star Joe Burrow were photographed with some of the stolen items, according to a recently filed federal criminal complaint. The complaint revealed that a jeweled necklace featuring “JB9” alongside a Nike swoosh and a diamond “9” necklace were visible in a selfie taken by the suspects. Burrow, a two-time Pro Bowler, wore the No. 9 jersey during his time at LSU and continues to wear it for the Bengals.

Another photo presented in the complaint showed several pieces of stolen jewelry displayed on a table. The suspects—Jordan Francisco Quiroga Sanchez, 22, Bastian Alejandro Orellana Morales, 23, and Sergio Andres Ortega Cabello, 38—were apprehended by the Ohio State Patrol after being tracked across multiple states following the burglary.

The Bengals issued a statement expressing gratitude to law enforcement for their diligent work in investigating the crime and apprehending the suspects. They acknowledged the extensive investigative efforts that led to the indictments and emphasized their long-standing partnership with the Hamilton County Sheriff’s Department.

At the time of their arrest, the men, who were reportedly in the country illegally, possessed burglary tools, a Bengals hat, and a Louisiana State University shirt believed to have been stolen from Burrow’s residence. The complaint noted that the robbery’s characteristics aligned with other recent burglaries executed by South American theft groups across the U.S. These groups typically consist of South Americans who enter the country illegally or overstay their visas, focusing on jewelry and designer accessories.

Burrow was playing in a game against the Dallas Cowboys in Arlington, Texas, when the burglary occurred. Olivia Ponton, a model and social media influencer identified as Burrow’s employee, was present at the home during the incident, but no injuries were reported. Following the break-in, Burrow expressed feelings of violation.
