**Vedanta Chairman Anil Agarwal Praises Budget 2025 for Tax Relief and Economic Growth**
Anil Agarwal, chairman of Vedanta Ltd, commended the central government’s decision to alleviate the tax burden for individuals earning up to ₹12 lakh, stating that Budget 2025 has “struck the perfect chord.” He emphasized that the budget has fostered an ideal synergy between strong consumption growth and accelerated investment, which will significantly enhance the manufacturing and mining sectors.
Agarwal expressed his enthusiasm for the inclusion of mining among the six key areas earmarked for transformative reforms over the next five years. He highlighted agriculture as another priority, particularly in the pursuit of self-sufficiency in essential commodities like edible oils.
In his remarks, Agarwal underscored the critical role of mining, agriculture, and manufacturing in bolstering domestic production, enhancing global trade, and generating employment opportunities. He noted that these sectors, including electronics—which the government is prioritizing—can substantially increase domestic output, decrease imports, and create millions of quality jobs in India.
While congratulating Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman, Agarwal described the visionary budget as a catalyst for robust consumption growth and accelerated investment, which are essential for achieving a developed India.
