WWE NXT talent Roxanne Perez shares insights about how CM Punk has been a mentor to her following his comeback.

CM Punk made a stunning return to the pro wrestling scene by appearing at the conclusion of Survivor Series 2023, marking his first WWE appearance in ten years following a fallout with the organization. Despite facing a significant triceps injury that sidelined him for several months, Punk’s influence on the new generation of wrestlers has been significant.

WWE NXT star Roxanne Perez shared several photos with Punk, expressing her appreciation for his mentorship since his return. She remarked, “It’s awesome. The ‘Best in the World’ isn’t just a moniker. He is one of the best in the world. Having him as a mentor at NXT is incredible. He doesn’t have to come out and watch our matches, yet he’s there in Gorilla Position after every match, providing feedback. It’s just great having him around.”

Punk made an appearance on NXT in September, where Perez, then the NXT women’s champion, had the opportunity to deliver her own “pipe bomb” to him. She reflected, “That was awesome. It definitely solidified my position as I claimed. I was able to stand in the ring with one of the best promo artists in the world, and I think I left him a bit speechless.”

Looking ahead, Perez aims to become a three-time NXT women’s champion at Vengeance Day, where she will compete in a fatal four-way match against defending champion Giulia, Bayley, and Cora Jade. Vengeance Day is set to begin at 6 p.m. ET in Washington, D.C.
