Zomato is set to change its name to ‘Eternal’; the platform has introduced a new logo and aspires to create a lasting impact beyond just food delivery.

**Zomato Ltd. Rebrands as Eternal Ltd. to Reflect Broader Vision**

New Delhi, February 6: Zomato Ltd. has officially announced its rebranding to Eternal Ltd., marking a pivotal shift in its corporate identity. CEO Deepinder Goyal shared the news on social media, highlighting the company’s evolution beyond food delivery services.

The board’s decision to change the name underscores the importance of Zomato’s expanding business portfolio, which now includes Blinkit, District, and Hyperpure. In a message to shareholders, Goyal reflected on Zomato’s journey, recalling its inception as Foodiebay in 2007, initially serving as a platform for restaurant menus. He noted the company’s remarkable growth, becoming India’s first tech startup listed on the BSE Sensex, a milestone that brought both pride and responsibility.

“This journey has created significant wealth for our employees, investors, and shareholders. However, my motivation for starting Zomato was not financial; it was about making a meaningful impact,” Goyal stated.

The name change to Eternal Ltd. aligns with the company’s vision of establishing a lasting institution that transcends its current leadership. Goyal emphasized that the new name signifies a mission statement, reflecting the company’s commitment to continuous improvement and growth.

With Blinkit emerging as a key growth driver alongside its core food delivery services, the leadership recognized the need for a rebranding that captures the company’s diverse offerings. “Working at Eternal means embracing challenges and striving to be better every day,” he remarked.

Following shareholder approval, the company will transition its website from zomato.com to eternal.com and change its stock ticker from ZOMATO to ETERNAL. The newly formed Eternal Ltd. will encompass four primary business segments: Zomato (food delivery), Blinkit (quick commerce), District (B2B logistics), and Hyperpure (restaurant supplies).

Goyal concluded by expressing hope that this rebranding marks another significant milestone in the company’s ongoing journey.
