Teddi Mellencamp, a former star of The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills, has announced that doctors have discovered multiple tumors on her brain. The 43-year-old, who is the daughter of musician John Mellencamp, shared on Instagram that she is set to undergo immediate surgery to remove two of the tumors, while the smaller remaining tumors will be treated with radiation at a later date.
In her post, Mellencamp expressed, “For the last several weeks, I’ve been dealing with severe and debilitating headaches. Yesterday, the pain became unbearable and required hospitalization.” She revealed that after undergoing a CT scan and MRI, doctors identified multiple tumors on her brain, which they believe have been developing for at least six months.
Mellencamp conveyed her gratitude for the support she has received, stating she feels “blessed to be surrounded by my children, family, friends, doctors, nurses, and surgeons.” She thanked everyone who has reached out and supported her during this challenging time.
This update follows her previous diagnosis of stage two melanoma in 2022, for which she has been receiving regular treatment to remove the skin cancer.
After sharing her health update, Mellencamp posted a video of herself shaving her head in preparation for surgery, recalling her father’s words: “God only gives hard stuff to those of us who can handle it.” In another video, she was seen surrounded by friends and family just moments before her surgery, with Kyle Richards, a current cast member of The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills, among those present.
Since her departure from the reality show, Mellencamp has taken on the role of podcast host for “Two T’s In A Pod” alongside Tamra Judge from The Real Housewives of Orange County.
