Grammys: All the essential information you need to be aware of before tonight’s event.

**The Anticipation Builds for the 67th Annual Grammy Awards**

The most significant night in music is upon us, with the coveted Album of the Year award taking center stage. This year, all eyes are on Beyoncé as she seeks to finally claim this prestigious honor. Despite being the most Grammy-nominated artist in history, she has yet to secure a win in this category. Last year, Taylor Swift won the award for her album “Midnights” and is nominated again this year for “The Tortured Poets Department.”

Interestingly, if Beyoncé does not win, she will still make Grammy history as the artist with the most nominations in this category without a victory. Conversely, if Swift wins, she will set a new record for the most wins in this category. Other nominees for Album of the Year include Sabrina Carpenter, Charli XCX, Billie Eilish, Chappell Roan, Andre 3000, and Jacob Collier.

**Event Details**

The 67th Annual Grammy Awards will take place at the Crypto.com Arena in Los Angeles on Sunday night. With a total of 94 awards to be presented, the evening will begin with a premiere ceremony at 12:30 PM PT (8:30 PM UK time), where most awards will be distributed. The most talked-about awards, including Album of the Year, Record of the Year, Song of the Year, and Best New Artist, will be presented later in the evening. The red carpet event starts at 11 PM UK time, and the main ceremony will commence at 1 AM UK time, lasting for three and a half hours. This year’s awards will honor music released between September 16, 2023, and August 30, 2024.

**Impact of Wildfires on the Event**

The wildfires that have ravaged parts of Los Angeles, resulting in 29 fatalities, are expected to overshadow the festivities. In response, the Recording Academy has canceled several industry events surrounding the show and redirected resources to support wildfire relief and rebuilding efforts in the area. The Recording Academy and MusiCares have initiated the Los Angeles Fire Relief Effort, contributing a $1 million donation, with over $4 million raised and pledged in emergency aid for those in the music industry affected by the disaster.
