**Major Tech and Corporate Layoffs Persist in 2025**

Significant layoffs are sweeping through leading tech and corporate firms in 2025. Following similar actions by Microsoft, Meta, and Amazon, Archer-Daniels-Midland (ADM) and Salesforce have also announced staff reductions as part of their cost-cutting strategies.

**ADM to Cut Up to 700 Jobs Globally**

Archer-Daniels-Midland, a prominent international grain trader, revealed plans to eliminate up to 700 positions worldwide in an effort to save between $500 million and $750 million over the next three to five years. CEO Juan Luciano cited “softer market conditions and policy uncertainty” as the primary drivers behind these layoffs. This decision comes as ADM adjusts to a changing global market landscape, with challenges anticipated in the year ahead.

**Salesforce to Lay Off Over 1,000 Employees**

Salesforce is set to lay off more than 1,000 employees while simultaneously recruiting new talent to enhance the sales of its emerging artificial intelligence (AI) solutions. According to a Bloomberg report, affected employees will have the opportunity to apply for other positions within the company, although the specific impact on various divisions remains unclear.

These announcements follow similar layoffs by Microsoft, Meta, and Amazon, all of which have made significant workforce reductions in response to market volatility, industry shifts, and economic pressures.

Microsoft has initiated performance-based job cuts, resulting in immediate layoffs for affected employees, who will not receive severance pay.

**Meta to Lay Off 3,600 Employees**

Meta Platforms, the parent company of Facebook, is laying off approximately 3,600 employees, representing about 5% of its workforce. An internal memo from CEO Mark Zuckerberg indicated that employees would be notified by February 10.
