**Ozzy Osbourne to Perform One Last Time with Black Sabbath**
Rock icon Ozzy Osbourne is preparing for his final performance. The 76-year-old, born John Michael Osbourne, will reunite with his Black Sabbath bandmates at Aston Villa’s Villa Park for a concert touted as the “greatest heavy metal show ever.” This all-day event, titled Back To The Beginning, marks the band’s first performance together in two decades, featuring original members Osbourne, Tony Iommi, Terence ‘Geezer’ Butler, and Bill Ward.
This comeback follows Osbourne’s cancellation of planned shows in Europe and the UK in 2023, where he cited his inability to perform due to physical limitations. In 2020, he also disclosed his diagnosis of Parkinson’s disease. Scheduled for July 5, this show adds to a remarkable career that has spanned five decades, earning Osbourne the moniker The Prince Of Darkness.
**Who is Ozzy Osbourne?**
Hailing from Birmingham, Osbourne gained fame as the founding member and lead vocalist of Black Sabbath. The band formed in 1968 and released their self-titled debut album two years later, featuring tracks like “The Wizard” and “Evil Woman.” Their subsequent album, “Paranoid,” included iconic songs such as “War Pigs,” “Iron Man,” “Fairies Wear Boots,” and the title track “Paranoid.” This record achieved significant success, topping the UK charts and reaching number 12 in the US. Over the years, Black Sabbath has become one of the most successful metal bands in history, selling over 75 million albums worldwide.
After being dismissed from the band in 1979 due to erratic behavior and substance abuse issues, Osbourne found success as a solo artist. His debut solo album, “Blizzard Of Ozz,” reached the UK top 10, and in 2020, he released “Ordinary Man,” which featured collaborations with Elton John, Slash, Post Malone, and Tom Morello.
**Family Life and Reality TV**
Outside of music, Osbourne’s personal life has been a significant aspect of his public persona. In 1970, he met Sharon Levy, who later became his wife and manager, Sharon Osbourne. The couple has three children: Aimee, Kelly, and Jack Osbourne. The family’s fame skyrocketed with the reality TV series “The Osbournes,” which showcased their daily lives in Beverly Hills, including Sharon’s public battle with colon cancer.
