**Ronan Keating Slams ‘Broken’ Justice System as Brother’s Killer Escapes Prison**
Ronan Keating has expressed his outrage over the “broken justice system” in Ireland following the release of the individual responsible for his brother’s death. Ciaran Keating, in his 50s, tragically lost his life in a car accident in County Mayo while en route to his son’s football match in July 2023.
The driver involved, Dean Harte, pleaded guilty and received a 17-month sentence, which was suspended for two years. In a heartfelt Instagram post, the Boyzone singer conveyed his disappointment, stating that this situation exemplifies the failures of the justice system. He lamented, “You can kill a man… and you can walk free. Not even a single night in prison. Just a slap on the wrist and a ticket to carry on your life, like nothing ever happened.”
Keating questioned the ongoing prevalence of road accidents in Ireland, attributing it to the lack of accountability within the legal system. He criticized those involved in the judicial process, declaring, “Shame on everyone involved in this process that contributed to the heartbreaking outcome for my family today.” He emphasized that the Keating family will continue to seek justice for Ciaran.
