**Brandon Graham Returns to Play in Super Bowl After Triceps Injury**
Philadelphia Eagles defensive end Brandon Graham, who tore his triceps 11 weeks ago, is set to play in the Super Bowl, a remarkable comeback that could impact both his season and career. Activated off injured reserve on Saturday, the 36-year-old will take the field for Sunday’s Super Bowl against the Kansas City Chiefs.
Earlier in the season, Graham indicated that this would be his final year in a 17-year career. His triceps injury, sustained on November 24 against the Los Angeles Rams, raised concerns about an early end to his playing days. However, he returned to practice as a limited participant last week and was listed as questionable ahead of Friday’s practice.
“It’ll feel great because you worked your butt off to get back,” Graham expressed. “I know the team worked their butt off to get here, and I want to be there for them.” He is one of only two position players and four overall remaining from the Eagles’ Super Bowl-winning team in the 2017 season.
In the Eagles’ Super Bowl victory over the New England Patriots in 2018, Graham made a pivotal play by strip-sacking Tom Brady with just over two minutes left, helping secure a 41-33 win. In their previous Super Bowl matchup against the Kansas City Chiefs two years ago, Graham played 18 snaps but did not record any tackles or sacks.
“I don’t want to get in the way of the rhythm of what everybody already has,” Graham stated. “If I can just add anything, I want to give everything I’ve got.” With 206 games played, Graham holds the record for the most games in Eagles history, surpassing Jason Kelce, who has played 193 games.
As he prepares for what he hopes will be his final game, Graham aims to lift the Vince Lombardi Trophy for the second time in his career. The Super Bowl matchup between the Chiefs and Eagles is scheduled for Sunday at 6:30 p.m. ET.
