Additionally, Md Islam Khan (29), alias Atappa, an active cadre of UNLF (Ningolmacha), was arrested in the Lilong Hangamthabi area. He is accused of extorting money from local individuals and businesses, with a mobile phone and an Aadhaar card seized during his arrest. Furthermore, Thoudam Johnjackson Singh (42), alias John, a member of the PREPAK (Pro) group, was apprehended at his residence in Ahongsangbam Leikai, where police recovered a mobile phone, an Airtel SIM card, and an Aadhaar card.
Efforts to address vehicle-related crimes also continued, with the arrest of BM Aziz Hashmir (21) from Thoubal District for vehicle theft. A blue Honda Activa without a registration number was recovered. Road safety enforcement led to the issuance of 49 traffic challans totaling Rs 90,500, the recovery of two stolen vehicles, and the removal of tinted films from 12 vehicles.
