In a heartwarming act of compassion, police personnel in Gonda district, Uttar Pradesh, came to the aid of a bride whose brother was tragically killed just days before her wedding. The incident occurred during a robbery on April 24, leaving the family not only mourning their loss but also without the funds they had set aside for the wedding.

Vineet Jaiswal, the Superintendent of Police, along with his wife Tanvi Jaiswal, played a pivotal role in ensuring that the wedding could still take place. The groom’s family had initially canceled the ceremony out of fear following the violent incident. However, upon learning of the family’s plight, the police took immediate action.

The officers not only covered the entire cost of the wedding but also engaged in discussions with the groom’s family to reschedule the event. Led by SP Vineet Jaiswal, the police presented the bride, Uday Kumari, with a generous gift of ₹1,51,000 in cash, along with jewelry and household items. They were also seen warmly welcoming the groom’s family at the wedding venue, demonstrating their commitment to supporting the community in times of crisis.

In a related development, Gyan Chand, the leader of the gang responsible for the robbery and the murder of Uday Kumari’s brother, was seriously injured during an encounter with a Special Task Force (STF) team on May 8. He succumbed to his injuries while receiving treatment at a government hospital.
