Andhra Pradesh is set to celebrate ‘Industry Day’ each Tuesday and has revealed the establishment of five defence hubs.

**Andhra Pradesh Introduces ‘Industry Day’ to Boost Investor Engagement**

The Andhra Pradesh government has declared every Tuesday as ‘Industry Day’, creating a dedicated platform for investors and entrepreneurs to voice their concerns directly to district administrations. This initiative, spearheaded by Industries Department Secretary Dr. N. Yuvraj, is modeled after the state’s Monday grievance redressal program and aims to facilitate the swift resolution of issues faced by industries at the ground level.

Dr. Yuvraj has instructed District Collectors to personally engage with every entrepreneur investing in their districts. He emphasized the need to streamline land acquisition processes, establish strict timelines for project execution, and appoint nodal officers for each economic hub to mitigate delays. Highlighting the industrial sector’s significant contribution of 44% to the state’s Gross State Domestic Product (GSDP), he stressed the importance of prioritizing land allotment, which he identified as a critical factor for industrial growth.

In his remarks, Dr. Yuvraj underscored the vital role of micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs) as the backbone of district-level development, urging officials to provide maximum support for their initiatives. Since the coalition government took office in June 2024, Andhra Pradesh has approved 122 projects with a total investment of Rs 10.06 lakh crore and allocated over one lakh acres of land for both existing and upcoming industrial clusters.

As part of its industrial development strategy, the state is establishing five major defense clusters: a naval cluster spanning over 3,000 acres between Visakhapatnam and Srikakulam, a missile and ammunition cluster at Jaggaiahpeta in NTR district, an unmanned systems cluster at Orvakal in Kurnool district, aerospace and electronics clusters covering 4,000 to 5,000 acres between Madakasira and Lepakshi in Anantapur district, and an aircraft component manufacturing cluster over 4,000 acres at Donakonda in Prakasam district.

Dr. Yuvraj noted that within just one year of the coalition government, the Centre has approved more than 50 industrial projects linked to the growth of Andhra Pradesh. He urged Collectors to extend every possible assistance to ensure the rapid implementation of these ventures.
