In the social welfare sector, Aadhaar face authentication has been integrated into the National Social Assistance Programme (NSAP), allowing beneficiaries to receive social security benefits in a secure and contactless manner. Since July, 13.66 lakh NSAP beneficiaries have successfully used this feature for authentication.
Additionally, the solution has been implemented in all 850 medical colleges and institutions under the National Medical Commission (NMC) for attendance marking, as well as by central recruitment agencies like the Staff Selection Commission (SSC) and Railway Recruitment Board (RRB) for candidate verification.
Overall, Aadhaar authentication across all modalities reached 221 crore transactions in July 2025, reflecting a 3.8% year-on-year growth.
