**Adani Total Gas and Jio-bp Join Forces to Enhance Fuel Distribution**

Adani Total Gas Ltd and Jio-bp, a subsidiary of Reliance Industries Ltd, have announced a strategic partnership to distribute auto fuel at select outlets. This collaboration, revealed in a statement on Wednesday, will see select Adani Total Gas locations offering Jio-bp’s petrol and diesel, while Jio-bp stations will incorporate Adani Total Gas’s compressed natural gas (CNG) dispensing units.

Suresh P. Manglani, Executive Director and CEO of Adani Total Gas, emphasized that this partnership will allow both companies to utilize each other’s infrastructure, ultimately improving customer experience and service offerings. This marks the second collaboration between the two rival billionaires, following Reliance’s acquisition of a 26% stake in an Adani Power project in Madhya Pradesh in March 2024.

Sarthak Behuria, Chairman of Jio-bp, stated, “We are united by a shared vision to offer our customers a superior selection of high-quality fuels.”

Nirav Karkera, Head of Research at Fisdom, noted that the partnership is expected to create significant operational synergies, enhancing their combined physical presence. By offering complementary products, the collaboration aims to provide a more comprehensive customer experience in a sector predominantly occupied by state-run entities.

The agreement encompasses both existing and future outlets, with Adani Total Gas operating 650 CNG stations and Jio-bp managing 2,000 fuel outlets. Karkera added that Adani Total Gas will benefit from Jio-bp’s extensive fuel station network, while Jio-bp can enhance its reach through Adani’s infrastructure, leading to improved margin management through cost synergies.

Adani Total Gas is a joint venture between the Adani Group and French multinational Total Energies, focusing on distributing natural gas to various sectors, including households and industries. Jio-bp, a collaboration between Reliance Industries and bp, is a key player in India’s mobility solutions, emphasizing fuel retailing and low-carbon alternatives.

According to the International Energy Agency, India’s natural gas demand is projected to rise by nearly 60% by 2030, driven by growth in city gas distribution, industrial demand, and power generation. The forecast indicates that India will account for a third of global oil demand growth during the 2023-2030 period.

In conclusion, this partnership between Adani Total Gas and Jio-bp not only strengthens their market positions but also enhances the overall customer experience in the fuel distribution sector.
